For Evelyn this quote says it all, “Oh, the comfort – the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person – having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.” ~Dinah Craik, A Life for a Life, 1859
Evelyn has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire in Communicative Disorders, an M.A. in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Counseling from the International School of Theology, and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in southern California. Evelyn is in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. Her intake sessions are 75-90 minutes long. After that, she sees individuals for 60 or 75 minutes and couples for either 75 or 90 minute long sessions usually once a week. She is no longer on any HMO panels and does not bill insurances directly. However, she provides a receipt/superbill to all her clients so they can personally get reimbursed for services. Cash or check for payment is due at the time of service. When not working Evelyn enjoys yoga, gardening, and spending time with her husband.
