Ethan Maryon (LCSW) views therapy as a tool to empower people to explore and align their values and behaviors, to heal trauma which locks us in our past, and to move forward with self-determination and clarity.
Ethan has extensive training and experience working with individual adults and couples, struggling with addiction, trauma, and maintaining healthy relationships. He recognizes the importance of a holistic approach which recognizes intersectional identities, values, experiences, and contexts as critical components in understanding people and their mental health goals. This approach allows him to identify and address the root causes of harm without fixating on a pathologizing view of “symptoms”.
Ethan’s calm, attuned demeanor and his focus on promoting self-empowerment aligns perfectly with his experience in using Lifespan Integration (LI) Therapy with his clients. He has found LI to be an invaluable tool in supporting clients to integrate their experiences into a coherent and positive sense of self, which allows them to develop more adaptive coping and relationship skills in the present.
