Greetings! I would like to share a little of my story with you.
I am originally from California but I’ve also lived throughout the world and in Birmingham for over 30 years. My credentials include earning certifications in Myers-Briggs personality type assessment, Brené Brown’s Daring Way group facilitation and as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and licensure supervisor. Over more than 30 years I have offered mental health counseling, supervision, training and crisis interventions and for 15 years served as director of the student counseling center at UAB. I’m in private practice as Blue Skies Counseling and affiliated with Trinity Counseling in Vestavia Hills, Alabama offering low and no-cost counseling for those in need of support.
Lifespan Integration has been the most transformative intervention I’ve ever personally and professionally experienced. After hearing about this unusual trauma intervention in early in 2015, I traveled to Seattle and Albuquerque to complete Level 1 and 2 trainings. In 2019, I went back to Seattle to finish Level 3 and then earned my LI certification. Since that time I have continued to pursue advanced training and supervision, and completed Level 4 in 2022. I have been truly excited and grateful to have the opportunity to both experience and learn LI and also to introduce this amazing, transformative intervention in Alabama.
