I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and received my MS in Psychology from Western Washington University in 2000. I have training in the areas of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Existential-Phenomenological Therapy. I maintain a clinical practice serving mostly young adults and adolescents.  I serve as the President of the Board of Directors for Kids’ Council Northwest, an organization that provides support and resources to youth experiencing grief and loss from the death of a parent, caregiver or sibling. I have volunteered with Camp Willie and Treehouse, programs that support children and families who have experienced a death.  I have worked in the mental health field for over ten years.

I enjoy the opportunity to assist young adults and adolescents who are needing treatment for:

  • • Depression/mood problems
  • • Anxiety and trauma
  • • Eating/body disturbances
  • • Adjustment and interpersonal problems
  • • Young adult conflicts
  • • Coping with issues of terminal illness
  • • Grief and loss
  • • Anxiety, anger and depression
  • • Chronic medical illnesses (HIV/AIDS, cancer, and renal failure)

I like to work with clients from a strength-based perspective and believe that individuals have the knowledge and ability to help themselves with the collaboration and understanding of another individual. My intent is to provide a respectful and holistic relationship-based approach to therapy.I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors with activities such as hiking, skiing, running, biking, backpacking and being out in the fresh air.
